Issue: Security updates from the phone manufacturer may cause a Concord NVR to restart unexpectedly when switching-on Notifications in the Concord App.
Model affected: CDK8848P-V2 (on the label on the top of the unit) - also known as QV5152.
How to resolve: Please follow the instructions below to update the firmware on your DVR Base unit by using a PC to copy a firmware file to a USB stick, and then using the menu in the DVR to upgrade it.

Extract the Zip file to a local folder on the PC. Copy the .SW file to a USB stick. Put the USB stick in the USB port on the back of the base station, connect a screen and mouse to the unit, and power it on if it is off.
Click the bottom-left corner of the screen and then click Setup. Enter your password.
Now click System, then Maintenance, then Upgrade. Click Select File.
If the USB stick does not appear, swap the USB stick and USB mouse around.
Now choose the file: QV5152 - D315X(5.0-NAND)_128M_ELECTUS(CONCORD)_V8.2.1.2-20220304_2322_8110.tar.gz
Press OK, and then press Upgrade.
Wait for the success message – the unit should restart after a minute or so. If it does not, power-off the NVR Base unit by pressing Shutdown from the bottom-left corner menu.
