Neptune 4 TL4970 and Neptune 4 Pro TL4972 - Printer does not power on – Electus Distribution

Issue

The printer has been connected to power, but does not turn on.

Troubleshooting

Before doing any work on the printer, turn off the printer power and unplug the power cord.

1. Confirm that you have set the correct voltage;

2. If the switch indicator light does not light up when you connect the power and switch it on, please check whether the fuse is damaged.

Before doing any work on the printer, turn off the printer power and unplug the power cord.

Pull the fuse holder out by pulling the outlined fuse section sideways out of the printer - a small screwdriver can be used to pry on it.

Set your multimeter to Ohms / resistance, and put the probes on each end of the fuse - it should read 0.00. If you get an "Open" reading, replace with a new fuse - AC 250V /10A.

3. If the printer does not power on with a new fuse, you can check if the motherboard is receiving power.

Plug in the power cord, switch the printer on, lift the front edge up until it's near 45 degrees, and look through the vents underneath the front area next to the fan to check if any LEDs on the motherboard are lighting up. A darkened room makes this easier to see.

If the LEDs do light, the motherboard or display screen may require replacement.

If the LEDs do not light, the power supply may have failed.
