Concord surveillance systems require an internet connection to allow you to access them remotely via the Concord Security phone App.
All Concord surveillance systems are equipped with a RJ45 port on the rear for connecting to your internet modem via a RJ45 cable. A cable is included in the box package.
If you are unable to run a cable to your internet modem from the Concord DVR/NVR location, it is possible to connect the unit via Wi-Fi.
Please check that your Wi-FI will reach the location of the Concord box first, by checking your modem's Wi-Fi signal quality on your phone at the same location.

Connecting Concord DVR & NVRs with a model number ending in -A
These systems only have a wired network port. You will need to buy an Wi-Fi extender with a RJ45 port, such as the Wavlink N300 (YN8370), to give them an internet connection.
- Plug the RJ45 cable supplied in the Concord carton to the LAN port on the Wi-Fi extender
- Plug the other end of the RJ45 cable into the LAN port on the Concord.
- Set the bottom MODE switch on the side of the extender to REPEATER.
- Plug the extender into a powerpoint, switch it on, and wait 30 seconds.
- Press the round WPS button on the extender for 6 seconds (The WPS/Power LED should flash).
- Go to your internet modem, and press and hold the WPS button for 2-3 seconds.
- Wait 30 seconds and the units should find each other.
Give the Concord system a minute to get connected to the internet - if successful, you should see a green tick in the bar across the bottom of the system page to the left of the time.
